A few weeks ago I went into the black hole of my kitchen . . . the storage space underneath the sink. I don’t remember what I was looking for. Maybe I went there to get the space organized and straighten out (I like to do things like that). Who knows, I just know that I can not remember what my originally purpose was for diving into the depths of the my kitchen’s black hole.
I sat down on the kitchen floor and began pulling out all the contents from this cabinet area. I removed a container of dishwasher tablets, a bottle of liquid dish soap, multi-purpose cleaner, a bottle of liquid dish soap, antibacterial wipes, another bottle of liquid dish soap, package of sponges, two more bottles of liquid dish soap, a box of Swiffer dusters, and . . . can you guess . . . do you sense a pattern? . . . a bottle of liquid dish soap.
When all was said and remove from the black hole, I recovered 12 bottles, yes 12 bottles of liquid dish soap!
Everytime I removed a bottle I was shaking my head and laughing. Everytime I removed a bottle I would shout to my husband, “I found another one!”
As I was returning the items, in an orderly fashion of course, I continplated how I got to a place with 12 bottles of liquid dish soap without realizing it. It did not take long, two words . . . coupons and sales. My husband, that funny guy, popped his head into the kitchen and said “Guess we won’t need to buy dish soap for a year.” So, for 2012 we will be using our 12 bottles of liquid dish soap (I hope it lasts)!
Now, I joke with my husband when I see coupons or ads for sales on liquid dish soap! “Joe, dish soap is on sale, we need to stock up!” So the moral of the story, if you need a coupon for liquid dish soap just give me a shout. I won’t need them for . . . a long time!
