I love Disney. My husband and I have annual passes so that we can pop over to the parks any time we want; to ride the latest attraction (or one of the classics), stroll through World Showcase, or dine at one of our favorite restaurants.
Once a year, Walt Disney World host’s the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival for 6 weeks in the fall. The festival is a celebration of culinary dishes from 29 destinations around the world. This is a festival that I have not missed since moving to Central Florida. How could I not miss it? The festival combines two of my favorites … Disney and Food! You mean I get to walk around Epcot, noshing on good eats and sampling wine and beer from around the world. That is something I would not let pass me by.
This year I actually got to enjoy Food & Wine 3 times! Between date night with my hubby and the visits with friends, I savored every trip. After the 3 trips we walked away with some favorites!
White Corn Arepa with Mangalitsa Pork Rillette and Zellwood Sweet Corn Salad from the Florida Local Marketplace (on the left)
In Italy we enjoyed the Ravioli di Formaggio all’Emiliana (Baked Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Beef Bolognese Sauce, Parmesan and Mozzarella)
Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll … mmmm Pretzel Roll … at the Germany booth
China had two fabulous dishes, the Pork Potstickers and the Mongolian Beef in a Steamed Bun. My apologies for no picture of the Beef, I was hungry and realized after that I had not taken a picture.
An annual favorite, Beef Empanada from Argentina.
The Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies at Australia is a new favorite.
And last but not least …
Drum Roll Please ….
CANADA’S CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP!
Excuse me … who forgot the photo? Oh that’s right, I did.
Confession, we stopped for Cheddar Cheese Soup every time went to Food & Wine Festival. And every time we devoured it before I could take a picture. Well, it gives me an excuse to go back next year. (Like I need an excuse).
Until next year!
